Frequently Asked Questions

• Am I committing to anything by registering?

Absolutely not! Registering your family is simply a way of indicating you would like more information. If you register, you will receive our newsletter by email 3 times per year. And, when your child is eligible for one of our projects, we will contact you and explain all the details. You can decide at that point whether you would like to participate or not.

• Who will have access to my information?

Your privacy is our top priority. All information about your family will be kept secure and will only be accessible by Dr. Van Reet and a select group of highly trained assistants. We will never share your information with anyone not affiliated with our lab. And, none of your or your child’s personal information will ever be used in any presentation or report of our findings.

• How often will I be contacted?

We typically only have a couple projects running at a time. Although it will depend on the age of your children, most families would only be contacted once or twice a year.

• What if I change my mind and no longer wish to be on your list?

No problem. Contact us at any time and we will immediately remove you and your family’s information from our system.

• Can I register a child of any age?

Yes! Although most of our projects involve children age 1 – age 10, we never know what the next project might be. You can register a child of any age, from newborns to high school seniors.
